A common challenge associated with homebrew DNA extraction protocols and phenol-based methods is that they often fail to efficiently remove inhibitory compounds such as humic acids, polyphenols, heme, and tannins that interfere with downstream PCR-based applications. The NucleoSpin Inhibitor Removal kit provides a simple and effective solution for such cases, recovering high yields of ready-to-amplify DNA from diverse inputs in only 15 minutes.

NucleoSpin Inhibitor Removal employs silica membrane technology in a familiar mini spin column format to enable rapid recovery of high-quality DNA from inputs up to 100 µl. Alternate protocols are provided for optimal processing of samples with varying levels of humic substances and other inhibitory factors. Purified DNA can be eluted in volumes ranging from 50–100 µl, with typical recoveries >75%.
