*Due to the recent increase in worldwide demand for overnight shipping, we are temporarily suspending FedEx Overnight Standard delivery, and shipping all blue ice and dry ice packages via FedEx Priority Overnight to ensure your product arrives on time and uncompromised.

Products will be shipped on the same day an order is received if the items are in stock and the order is processed before 2:00 pm Pacific Time. However, items that require shipment on blue ice/dry ice are not shipped on Fridays. Additional information about shipment packaging is included below.

Shipment packaging

Dry ice    Blue ice
Dry ice packaging (without ice)  Dry ice packaging (with ice) Blue ice packaging

Items requiring shipment at –20°C or 4°C are packaged in styrofoam containers with dry ice or blue ice, respectively. Buffer material may be added to the container to prevent direct contact between blue ice and items not prepackaged in a box (e.g., bottles), to avoid freezing of the items.

Multiple-temperature shipments

Multiple-temperature shipment  Multiple-temperature shipment with peanuts

Items requiring shipment at multiple temperatures are packaged in separate containers which may be combined in a single outer box. In the above images, items requiring shipment on blue ice and dry ice are packaged in separate styrofoam containers and combined in an outer box with an item that can be shipped at room temperature (plastic bag). Biodegradable packing peanuts that dissolve in water and leave no toxic waste are used to immobilize the room temperature item before the outer box is sealed.

Cell line products

Cell line products are typically provided in small vials, which are packaged in red plastic bags prior to shipment so that recipients can easily locate the product in the shipping container when it arrives.
