Competent cells for transformation
We offer several types of competent cells for transformation during your cloning experiments. Our Stellar Competent Cells are available in two formats, chemically competent and electrocompetent cells. The chemically competent Stellar Competent Cells are treated with calcium chloride to assist attachment of the plasmid DNA to the competent cell membrane, while the Stellar Electrocompetent Cells are prepared for transformation via electroporation. Both formats use an E. coli HST08 strain that provides high transformation efficiency and have been optimized for use with the In-Fusion Snap Assembly Master Mixes.
