NucleoSpin RNA/DNA Buffer Set—parallel isolation of RNA and DNA from undivided samples
The NucleoSpin RNA/DNA Buffer Set enables parallel isolation of high-quality RNA and DNA from the same sample in one working procedure and is designed for use with a wide array of Macherey-Nagel RNA purification kits. This approach eliminates the need to split samples and perform separate RNA and DNA preps, which can be problematic or impossible for analyses involving precious samples such as biopsies or small individual organisms and can give rise to experimental artifacts.

The approach employed by the NucleoSpin RNA/DNA Buffer Set involves sequential elution of DNA and RNA from a single silica-based spin column using low-salt buffer and water, respectively, such that eluted DNA and RNA are ready for immediate use in common downstream applications such as PCR, qPCR, restriction digests, microarray analysis, etc.
