NucleoMag DNA Bacteria

Magnetic bead-based genomic DNA purification from microbial cultures

The NucleoMag DNA Bacteria kit enables high-throughput DNA isolation from diverse microbial samples using scalable, automation-friendly magnetic beads. The kit can be used to process Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as yeast and other fungi. Common sample types include microbial cultures employed for industrial applications such as food research and chemical production, or organisms relevant to clinical and ecological studies. Typical downstream applications for DNA purified with the kit include PCR, qPCR, and NGS.

NucleoMag DNA Bacteria utilizes a powerful yet environmentally friendly buffer chemistry that is free of chaotropic salts or hazardous components. The kit can be combined with bead-based homogenization approaches (e.g., MN bead tubes or MN 96 bead plates) for improved sample disruption, and support protocols are provided for DNA extraction from hard-shelled organisms (e.g., insects and crustaceans), lipid rich, and fungal samples.
