NucleoBond CB

Anion exchange kits for purification of up to 500 µg genomic DNA from whole blood or mammalian cells

NucleoBond CB kits are designed for the purification of genomic DNA from blood, serum, or mammalian cell cultures using NucleoBond AXG anion-exchange columns, which yield ultra-pure high-molecular-weight genomic DNA. Because NucleoBond columns run by gravity flow, shearing is kept to a minimum so that high-molecular-weight genomic DNA can be easily isolated.

Samples are first lysed under special conditions for removal of erythrocytes.

After incubation with Proteinase K, the sample is diluted with Buffer N2 before loading onto the NucleoBond AXG column in order to guarantee a good flow rate as well as quantitative binding of the DNA. After elution with high-salt buffer, the genomic DNA is precipitated with isopropanol.
