High-throughput plant DNA isolation in a 384-well format—NucleoMag 384 Plant
The NucleoMag 384 Plant kit employs a magnetic bead-based purification technology that enables rapid and efficient isolation of genomic DNA from a wide array of plant species and tissue types and allows for processing of up to 384 samples in parallel. The kit protocol can be automated on liquid-handling platforms and is particularly well suited for high-throughput applications such as plant breeding or population-level analyses.

The kit protocol can be automated on liquid-handling platforms and is particularly well suited for high-throughput applications such as plant breeding or population-level analyses.
The NucleoMag 384 Plant kit accommodates up to 30 mg of sample material per prep and is designed to overcome common challenges associated with plant DNA purification, including the release of polyphenolic compounds and complex polysaccharides. Plant tissue is extracted with CTAB Lysis Buffer MC1, and binding of genomic DNA to the NucleoMag V-Beads is facilitated by Binding Buffer MC2. Following magnetic separation and removal of supernatant, the paramagnetic beads are washed in a series of buffers to remove contaminants, salt, and residual ethanol. Following elution under low-salt conditions, isolated genomic DNA is ready for downstream applications such as NGS, qPCR, blotting, or enzymatic reactions.
