NucleoMag RNA Pro and NucleoMag RNA/DNA Pro

Isolate both RNA and DNA from tissue, plants, or cultured cells—all with one kit. NucleoMag RNA Pro enables rapid and efficient small-scale purification of high-quality RNA and NucleoMag DNA/RNA Pro enables rapid and efficient small-scale purification of high-quality RNA and DNA. Both kits are compatible with manual workflows using NucleoMag SEP or can be automated on magnetic rod systems such as the IsoPure Mini. Processing 96 samples takes 120 min when done manually, and around 90 min with an automated magnetic rod system.

With NucleoMag RNA Pro, sample lysis is achieved by homogenization in a solution containing chaotropic ions. Following sample lysis, ethanol-based solvents are added to the lysate, which creates the proper conditions for nucleic acids to bind to the paramagnetic NucleoMag B-Beads. Contaminants and salts are removed using Wash Buffer MRW and 70% ethanol. After magnetic separation, the NucleoMag B-Beads are incubated with a recombinant DNase to remove co-purified DNA. Following an RNA rebinding step and washing, highly pure RNA is eluted and can be used directly for downstream applications.

NucleoMag RNA/DNA Pro is identical to NucleoMag RNA Pro but contains the buffers needed to isolate DNA in a separate fraction following the removal of contaminants and salts using Wash Buffer MRW and 70% ethanol. The eluted DNA, like the eluted RNA, can be used directly for downstream applications.
