He returned to the Pittsburgh area and began his commercial career, where he has focused on the genomics market for 15+ years. In his current role, he focuses on platforms to increase throughput for researchers and clinicians.

Angie Dorigatti holds a PhD in the Biology of Aging from the University of Texas Health at San Antonio, where her research focused on Alzheimer’s disease, brain aging, and cellular senescence in astrocytes. She is a subject matter expert in sample preparation, nuclei isolation, and spatial transcriptomics. Passionate about advancing innovative scientific discovery, Angie is committed to helping researchers generate high-quality data to drive meaningful insights in their projects.

Alan Silverman has 20 years of experience in the genomics industry, spanning services, NGS, DNA sequencing, and capital equipment. As a Regional Sequencing Specialist at ONT, Alan helps to lead use of direct DNA and RNA sequencing using protein nanopores. He strives to present unique solutions to researchers’ unmet needs and enables sequencing of the entire genome, including telomere to telomere.
