PrimeSTAR LongSeq DNA Polymerase

PrimeSTAR products

PrimeSTAR LongSeq DNA Polymerase is a new PCR enzyme developed based on DNA polymerase derived from Thermococcus archaea. This product has the world's highest level of specificity, making it possible to amplify ultra-long chains of over 50 kb while suppressing non-specific amplification, and can amplify difficult sequences such as long GC/AT-rich sequences.

These features allow long-chain multiplex PCR reactions, which were previously difficult to perform. It also has high accuracy, making it ideal for amplifying templates in long-read sequences.

This product is a 2X premix type that contains all components (enzymes, buffers, dNTP mixtures, etc.), and does not freeze at –20°C, so there is no need to thaw it—immediately add primers and templates to perform highly reproducible PCR. The enzyme contained in this product is a hot-start PCR enzyme that contains a monoclonal antibody that suppresses DNA polymerase activity and 3′→5′ exonuclease activity at room temperature.

Overview

  • Proprietary technology enables ultra-long amplification (50 kb or more)
  • Long chain amplification is possible even for difficult sequences such as GC/AT rich sequences
  • High specificity suppresses nonspecific amplification, enabling long-length multiplex PCR reactions
  • Highly accurate and ideal for template amplification in long-read sequencing
  • Premixed reagents for easy handling
