Corystein (Purothionin) reagent
Corystein (purothionin) is a polypeptide purified from wheat endosperm. It catalyzes the correct formation of disulfide bonds in proteins. Corystein reagent can be used alone or together with thioredoxin to reform disulfide bonds on a variety of proteins.
- Facilitates protein refolding by promoting exchange reactions between disulfide bonds
- Molecular weight: 5.072 kDa (calculated)
- Stable pH range: 2.0–10.0
- Isoelectric point: 10.0
- Thermal stability: <80°C
