MSC Xeno-free culture medium

Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium provides optimal conditions that enable the maintenance and expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from bone marrow, adipose tissue, or umbilical cord without plate coating reagents. Importantly, MSCs maintain multilinear differentiation ability and display a stable phenotype during the culture period.

Li, F. et al. Mesenchymal stem cell‑derived extracellular vesicles prevent neural stem cell hypoxia injury via promoting miR‑210‑3p expression. Mol. Med. Rep. 22, 3813–3821 (2020).

The study investigated the effects of MSC‑derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) on neural stem cell (NSC) injury, as well as the underlying mechanisms. MSCs were cultured in Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium. MSC-derived extracellular vesicles were isolated from the medium and used to treat a model of NSC hypoxic injury. The authors found that MSC-EVs can prevent injury by promoting miR-210-3p expression.
