AAV real-time PCR titration kit

Accurately deterimine titer of recombinant AAV using real time PCR

The AAVpro titration kit contains all of the reagents necessary for extraction of adeno-associated virus (AAV) particles from AAV-producing cells and real-time PCR analysis of the viral genomic sequence. This kit allows for more precise and rapid quantification of viral titer than conventional DNA blot and ELISA methods.

Regardless of the serotype (determined by the Cap gene used for packaging), the viral genome encapsulated within most commonly used recombinant AAV systems typically contain the ITRs (inverted terminal repeats) of AAV2. With this kit, amplification of the AAV2 ITRs is used to quantify titer and can, therefore, be used for determining the titer of any AAV serotype, as long as the ITRs are derived from AAV2. If you are unsure whether this kit will work for your vector, contact our technical services department with your vector sequence.

Overview

  • Can be used to determine the titer of AAV of any serotype as long as the ITRs are from AAV2 (most commonly used constructs)
  • Kit contains all reagents necessary for extraction of AAV particles from virus-producing cells and real-time PCR assay of AAV2 ITRs
  • Simple and fast titration method—results in approximately 2.5 hours
  • High-sensitivity titration—more precise quantification than conventional DNA blot and ELISA methods

More Information

Applications

  • Determining the titer of AAV using real-time PCR
  • Rapid and precise titration of any AAV serotype; quantification is based on the ITRs of AAV2, a sequence that is present in commonly used AAV vectors
