Chips and consumables for single-cell NGS automation

Single-cell automation system consumables

We offer a variety of accessories, plasticware, and other consumables for the Shasta Single Cell System (Cat. # 640282) and ICELL8 cx Single-Cell System (Cat. # 640188 or 640189): plates, chips, chip loading and collection kits, etc. Use these consumables together with our validated single-cell automation system workflows or your own custom workflows to generate NGS libraries for your single-cell applications.

We offer a variety of accessories, plasticware, and other consumables for the Shasta Single Cell System (Cat. # 640282) and ICELL8 cx Single-Cell System (Cat. # 640188 or 640189): plates, chips, chip loading and collection kits, etc. Use these consumables together with our validated single-cell automation system workflows or your own custom workflows to generate NGS libraries for your single-cell applications.

As part of the open design of the platform, we also offer blank chips containing no preprinted oligos for the development of custom applications. Blank chips can also be used to test cell dispensing and imaging using the NGS automation systems. In the chip name, the number denotes the volume of the nanowells while the letter(s) designation following the number indicates the shape of the well. (See table titled "Formats of available Single-Cell blank chips" under More Information.)

The following products are required for processing Single-Cell chips:

  • Nanodispenser 384-Well Source Plate and Seal kits contain 384-well plates and plates seals used by the system to dispense samples and reagents to the chip.
  • The Single-Cell Loading Kit contains blotting paper, optical film, and sealing film to be used for processing Single-Cell chips in workflows with multiple incubation steps
  • The Single-Cell Collection Kit contains a collection fixture to hold the chip, 2.0 ml tubes, and a film to allow users to spin down and collect the contents of a processed Single-Cell chip (e.g., extracted cDNA) into a tube for experiments

640258 SMART-Seq® Pro Indexing Primer Set - A 1 Chip USD $1008.00

The SMART-Seq Pro Indexing Primer Set - A enables users to analyze full-length transcripts using ICELL8 single-cell systems and can generate indexed libraries that are ready for sequencing on Illumina platforms.

The plate contains 72 forward and 72 reverse indexes and a plate seal to process samples on one ICELL8 250v Chip or one ICELL8 350v Chip. This plate has been made available separately for customized protocol development. Primers are not resuspended to maximize flexibility with volumes and concentrations for assay developers.

This set contains different index primers than the SMART-Seq Pro Indexing Primer Set - B plate (Cat. # 640260). The SMART-Seq Pro protocol allows for the option to multiplex two libraries in a single sequencing run, one generated using Set A indexes and one generated using Set B indexes.

NOTE: This plate is already included with SMART-Seq Pro Application Kit - 2 Chip (Cat. No. 640257) and required for that workflow.

The Single-Cell 350v Chip is a 350 nl volume, V-bottom chip that enables users to dispense and image cells using the Shasta or ICELL8 cx systems. All wells in the 5,184-nanowell chip are unprinted and have a maximum working volume of 350 nl and a depth of 2.200 mm. The Single-Cell 350v Chip can be used to dispense cells as detailed in the Shasta Total RNA-Seq, Shasta WGA, or SMART-Seq Pro Application protocols, or low-input DNA/RNA solution when developing your own NGS assays for the systems.
