mRNA-seq—for single-cell and ultra-low input RNA samples

Takara Bio’s SMART-Seq mRNA kits are ideally suited for library preparation from single cell and bulk ultra-low input samples. Check out the following pages to learn more about the types of mRNA sequencing and the kits available to help you implement it.

Messenger RNA sequencing (mRNA-seq) is used for selectively profiling the protein coding transcripts in a sample. The method enriches or captures poly-adenylated or poly(A) RNAs which represent only a small fraction of the total transcriptome, providing a cost-effective approach for sequencing only the mRNA species. It is a powerful technique for measuring gene expression, studying differential gene expression changes across different experimental or disease conditions, identifying novel transcripts, etc.
