Next-generation sequencing has become the weapon of choice for many researchers in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) in particular is crucial in serving to inform our understanding of viral pathogenesis and infection dynamics of SARS-CoV-2.
