Lenti-X Transduction Sponge overview
The Lenti-X Transduction Sponge is a novel technology that provides a microfluidic environment for lentivirus transduction in a dissolvable, easy-to-use alginate sponge. Within the pores of the sponge, the cells and virus are gently colocalized, thus increasing transduction efficiency and preserving cell viability. Any researcher can easily achieve successful transductions using the sponge without the need for complicated spinoculation protocols, harsh chemical enhancers, or expensive specialized microfluidics equipment.
Learn more about the Lenti-X Transduction Sponge, including its fast, user-friendly workflow and compatibility with multiple cell types.
Simple transduction workflow using the Lenti-X Transduction Sponge. Cells and virus are mixed prior to applying to the sponge. The transduction mixture is incubated for 1 hr, followed by the addition of media and overnight incubation for 16–24 hr. No spinoculation is required. The next day, healthy, transduced cells are released using an optimized Release Buffer that depolymerizes the alginate matrix. Cells are then ready for subsequent analysis or continued culture.
