Tet-On 3G cell lines for tetracycline-inducible expression

Ready-made cell lines expressiong the Tet-On 3G tetracycline transactivator

Tet-On 3G cell lines greatly simplify the task of setting up a tetracycline-inducible gene expression system that is activated by adding doxycycline (Dox) to the culture medium. These rigorously tested clonal cell lines stably express our premium Tet-On 3G transactivator. They allow you to induce expression of your gene of interest by adding Dox to the culture of transfected cells, and can save you up to two months of time in developing a complete Tet-controlled system.

Tet-On 3G cell lines greatly simplify the task of setting up a tetracycline-inducible gene expression system that is activated by adding doxycycline (Dox) to the culture medium. These rigorously tested clonal cell lines stably express our premium Tet-On 3G transactivator. They allow you to induce expression of your gene of interest by adding Dox to the culture of transfected cells, and can save you up to two months of time in developing a complete Tet-controlled system.

Easily create an inducible system by placing your gene under the control of PTRE3G, transfecting it into one of these G418-resistant cell lines, and selecting for double-stable clones.

NIH/3T3 Tet-On 3G is a Swiss mouse embryo fibroblast cell line that expresses the tetracycline (Tet)-regulated transactivator Tet-On 3G. Inducible expression of any gene can be achieved by transfecting or transducing this cell line with a vector containing your gene of interest under the control of a tetracycline-responsive promoter. Expression is induced by the addition of doxycycline (Dox) to the culture medium.

Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) that has been functionally tested for optimal use with all of our Tet Systems. This FBS does not contain trace levels of tetracycline (or its derivatives) which have been observed to interfere with proper regulation of TRE-controlled gene expression. Use of this serum ensures the maximal range of induction possible with the Tet Systems.
