Purification of RNA from cells and tissues—NucleoSpin RNA Plus

RNA purification kit designed for quick, efficient RNA isolation from cells and tissues, includes genomic DNA removal column

The NucleoSpin RNA Plus kit is a next-generation RNA purification kit designed for quick, efficient RNA isolation from cells and tissues. This kit integrates a new feature, the NucleoSpin gDNA Removal Column, a mini spin column which quickly and efficiently removes genomic DNA contamination, thus eliminating the need for time-consuming rDNase digestion.

Cells and tissues are lysed in a lysis buffer that does not require the addition of beta-mercaptoethanol or TCEP since it contains a chaotropic salt that immediately inactivates any RNases. The lysate is added to a NucleoSpin gDNA Removal Column for clarification and removal of contaminating gDNA. After addition of the binding solution to the flowthrough, the RNA is bound to a NucleoSpin RNA Plus Column. Two washes are performed to remove salts, metabolites, and macromolecular cellular components, and high-quality RNA is eluted with RNase-free water.

If you are unsure which RNA purification kit to choose, try our RNA purification kit finder tool and filter products by sample type, kit format, and application.

RNA purification mini prep kits that stop RNA degradation and prevent genomic DNA contamination

The better way to isolate RNA

Critical factors when purifying RNA are the complete removal of contaminating DNA (gDNA) and the immediate prevention of degradation of RNA. The NucleoSpin RNA Plus kit introduces the NucleoSpin gDNA Removal Column, a spin column which quickly and completely removes genomic DNA contamination without the need for DNase digestion. To maintain RNA integrity, cells and tissues are first lysed by incubation in a chaotropic ion lysis buffer solution, which immediately inactivates RNases.
