Cellartis mesenchymal stem cell xeno-free culture medium

Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent cells that can differentiate into neurons, hepatocytes, pancreatic islet cells, adipocytes, chondrocytes, and osteoblasts, both in vivo and in vitro, and their self-renewal capacity is easily lost by long-term culture and excessive passages. Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium provides optimal conditions that enable maintenance of MSC proliferation and multipotency without the need for plate coating reagents. This medium does not contain any animal-derived components. It is also available in a phenol-red-free version and a GMP-grade version.

Cat. # Product Size Price License Quantity Details
Y50200 Cellartis® MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium Each USD $603.00

Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium is suitable for the maintenance and expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) from bone marrow, adipose tissue, or umbilical cord—without plate coating reagents. However, coating cell culture vessels with human fibronectin can further promote proliferation. This xeno-free medium is ideal for cell therapy research applications such as bone/cartilage diseases, bone marrow transplants/GVHD, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, liver disease, and cancer.

Cellartis xeno-free MSC medium: robust proliferation even without coating

Cellartis xeno-free MSC medium: robust proliferation even without coating
hMSCs derived from bone marrow, adipose and umbilical cord were maintained in Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium or a competitor's xeno-free medium, with and without coating (fibronectin), on regular tissue culture plates. Cells grew better for five passages in Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium than in the competitor's medium. MSCs could not attach on the regular tissue culture plate after two or three passages in the competitor's medium without coating.

Cellartis xeno-free MSC medium maintains healthy MSC phenotype

Cellartis xeno-free MSC medium maintains healthy MSC phenotype
hMSCs derived from bone marrow (BM), adipose (AD), and umbilical cord (UC) were maintained in Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium or a competitor's xeno-free medium, w/ and w/o coating (fibronectin) on regular tissue culture plates. After both 1 and 5 passages, % of CD90+, CD105+ and CD73+ MSCs are identified by FACS analysis. After 5 passages (24 days), Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium maintained a high percentage of cells that were positive for typical MSC markers.

Cellartis xeno-free MSC medium maintains MSC multilinear differentiation ability
hMSCs derived from bone marrow (Panel A) were successfully differentiated into osteoblast (Panel B), adipocyte (Panel C), and chondrocyte (Panel D) following culture in Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium without coating reagent.

Y50205 Cellartis® MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium (w/o Phenol Red) 500 mL USD $646.00

Cellartis MSC Xeno-Free Culture Medium (w/o Phenol Red) is a xeno-free medium suitable for human MSC culture. It does not contain components, such as BSA, etc., that are derived from non-human species. Furthermore, it enables maintenance of MSC proliferation and pluripotency without plate coating reagents.
