5X PrimePath Probe qPCR Kit, GPR

The 5X PrimePath Probe qPCR Kit, GPR is ideal for sensitive pathogen detection via probe-based qPCR (using the 5′ nuclease method). The increased, 5X concentration of the master mix frees up reaction space in your qPCR-based pathogen detection assays; this allows you to add more of your sample, which improves the limit of detection, or to add additional primers/probes to develop multiplex assays.

The kit contains our efficient and highly specific hot-start PCR enzyme, TaKaRa Taq HS, in an optimized reaction buffer. Simply add a DNA sample, primers, and probes to the master mix to get the reaction started. The entire protocol, from setup to detection, takes less than one hour.

The 5X PrimePath Probe qPCR Kit, GPR is a general purpose reagent (GPR) labeled “For Laboratory Use” and is manufactured in a facility certified to ISO 13485. Every lot is functionally tested to ensure lot-to-lot reproducibility and consistent qPCR performance across a large dynamic range.

Inhibitor tolerance of 5X PrimePath Probe qPCR Kit, ROX plus, GPR compared to competitor products. Multiplex assays for the detection of GAPDH, ACTB, and RNAse P from human cDNA were performed using 5X PrimePath Probe qPCR Kit, ROX plus, TaqPath qPCR Master Mix GC (ThermoFisher Scientific) or PerfeCTa qPCR ToughMix (Quantbio) both with and without inhibitors: hematin porcine (80 µM), heparin (50 mU), or urea (800 mM). To show performance changes in the presence of inhibitors, the ΔCq for each sample was calculated by determining the difference between the Cq value of inhibited samples and the no-inhibitor control. As demonstrated for each gene in the multiplex assay, 5X PrimePath Probe qPCR Kit, ROX plus, GPR had low ΔCq values across all target genes, indicating comparable performance between inhibited and uninhibited samples.
