DNA molecular weight markers

Our selection of DNA ladders and DNA molecular weight markers—with fragment sizes ranging from 20 bp to 2.5 kb—are suitable as size standards for various applications, such as nucleic acid size and quantity determination during agarose gel electrophoresis. In addition, we also offer several standard lambda digests and phiX174 digests in low, mid, and high size ranges. These ladders are premixed with loading dye and glycerol for direct agarose gel loading.

Three wide-range DNA ladders, consisting of quantitated DNA fragments ranging in size from 100–2,000 bp, 100–5,000 bp, and 50–10,000 bp, allow the determination of DNA size and quantity over a broad molecular range.

Guidelines for selecting DNA ladders

Guidelines for selecting DNA ladders
Guidelines for selecting DNA ladders. This table contains a complete listing of our DNA ladders (including wide-range DNA ladders), with catalog numbers. Each ladder is listed according to the lower size limit or by size range, with or without loading dye. The table also displays each ladder’s gel banding pattern and fragment sizes. Thicker bands are present in higher amounts and reflect the actual banding pattern on the gel.
