Pre-existing spatial technologies depend on complex analysis methods that do not truly define a single cell. As a new class of spatial methods, Trekker technology preserves the coordinates of single cells and incorporates canonical single-cell sequencing workflows, making it possible to produce true single-cell data with precise spatial context. The high molecular complexity and true single-cell nature inherited from the single-cell data enable highly granular data annotation and seamless incorporation into existing single-cell statistical models and tools—with a rich spatial dimension.

In this live webinar, Dr. Wanxin Wang will discuss Trekker bioinformatics tools and tips that simplify your analysis and maximize meaningful biological insights. You’ll learn about:

  • How Trekker kits preserve spatial coordinates of cells within a tissue section and how the coordinates are accurately decoded bioinformatically
  • What tools to use for performing different types of analysis on Trekker datasets, including data preprocessing and alignment with H&E images
  • Strategies for incorporating spatial information into analyses, such as cell type annotation, cell-cell communication, CNV inference, and time-trajectory analysis
  • Analyzing spatial multiomic data, where gene expression and chromatin accessibility can be linked and examined with spatial context

Dr. Wanxin Wang previously worked on characterizing the human endometrium and other primary tissues using single-cell RNA-seq. At Takara Bio, she builds bioinformatics pipelines and tools for spatial analysis and explores spatial multiomic data. Dr. Wang enjoys exploring biology through quantitative approaches and creative visualizations with spatial context.
