Anti-Trigger Factor (TF) monoclonal antibody
Also known as peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase, the 48 kDa Trigger Factor (TF) is a chaperone protein found in eubacteria. It is also encoded by the tig gene in the E. coli cold shock expression system pCold TF DNA. The anti-trigger factor (TF) monoclonal antibody is suitable for the detection of TF-tagged recombinant proteins expressed in the pCold TF vector. The peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase (Trigger Factor) antibody can be used for reducing or non-reducing Western blots and immunoprecipitation studies.
- highly specific monoclonal antibody
- No cross-reactivity with other E. coli proteins or ProS2 tag
- Detection of pCold TF vector expressed Trigger Factor-tagged recombinant proteins
- Western blot analysis under reducing or non-reducing conditions
- Immunoprecipitation studies
0.1 mg Mouse IgG1 (lyophilized)
Anti-Trigger Factor (TF) Monoclonal Antibody was obtained by fusing the P3U1 myeloma cell line with C57BL/6 mouse lymph node cells after immunization with the Trigger Factor KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide (165-178) [TIDFTGSVDGEEFE]. The monoclonal antibody was prepared from harvested SCID mouse ascitic fluid, purified by column chromatography, and dissolved in 10 mM PBS (pH 7.4) containing 1.0% bovine serum albumin. The product was then lyophilized. The tig gene originates from Escherichia coli str. K-12 substr. MG1655.
Upon reconstitution, the stock solution (2.0 mg/ml) should be stored in aliquots at –20°C for up to 1 year or at 4°C for up to 6 months after 0.1% sodium azide addition (lyophilized antibody does not contain sodium azide.) Avoid repeated freeze-thaw. Diluted antibody should not be stored.
Dissolve the lyophilized antibody in 50 μl of distilled water (final concentration 2.0 mg/ml). This solution can be used as a stock solution. If further dilution is necessary, dilute the stock solution with Dilution solution (composition shown below) just prior to use. When the entire amount of antibody is to be used over a short period of time, dissolve directly in 500 μl or more of the Dilution solution.
Be sure to store the antibody at a minimum concentration of 2.0 mg/ml. A lower antibody concentration may result in decreased stability.
Reconstituted antibody solution should contain 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative when stored at 4°C.
10 mM PBS (pH 7.4)
* When stored at 4°C, 0.1% sodium azide should be added as a preservative.
