Overview

We offer two services to test for contamination in your stem cell culture. With the Cellartis Human Pathogen and Mycoplasma Testing Service, we use PCR to test your cell lines for Mycoplasma spp. and 19 human pathogens: HIV1, HIV2, HTLV1, HTLV2, Hepatitis virus A, Hepatitis virus B, Hepatitis virus C, Hantaviruses (Hantaan, Seoul, Sin Nombre viruses), HSV1, HSV2, HCMV, HHV 6, HHV 8, HAdV, HPV, LCMV, VZV, EBV, and Treponema pallidum (Syphilis).

With the Cellartis Sterility Testing Service, we start by directing inoculating your sample into media that support bacterial and fungal growth. The media are incubated for 10 days, and then we use MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and DNA sequencing to identify contaminants.

Project Initiation

You may request the human pathogen and mycoplasma testing and the sterility testing services as stand-alone services to ensure that your cultured cell lines are free of contamination. You may also request these services together with Cellartis reprogramming, cell banking, directed differentiation, or gene editing services.
