Immunoprecipitation of DYKDDDDK (FLAG epitope)-tagged proteins
The DYKDDDDK or FLAG tag is one of the most commonly used hydrophilic octapeptide tags. This tag is ideal for identifying and monitoring expression of DYKDDDDK- or FLAG-tagged proteins. A highly specific monoclonal anti-DYKDDDDK antibody (which recognizes the FLAG epitope) and does not cross-react with endogenous proteins can be crosslinked to agarose beads. Anti-DYKDDDDK beads are used to purify or immunoprecipitate DYKDDDDK-tagged or FLAG-tagged fusion proteins from cell lysates. The Immunoprecipitation Buffer Set contains a highly optimized mix of buffers which provide extremely low background and are recommended for use with anti-DYKDDDDK beads.
The Immunoprecipitation Buffer Set provides extremely low background when used with anti-DYKDDDDK beads to purify or immunoprecipitate FLAG-tagged fusion proteins from cell lysates.
