Titanium Taq SP—high-yield DNA polymerase for laboratory testing (GPR-registered)
Titanium Taq SP DNA Polymerase is a registered general purpose reagent (GPR) appropriate for use in general laboratory applications, including molecular diagnostic development and testing. Titanium Taq SP contains the same Titanium Taq DNA Polymerase and TaqStart Antibody as our standard Titanium Taq products, but with a modified, license-free buffer formulation. Titanium Taq SP performs similarly to our standard Titanium Taq in all tested customer applications. It is ideal for PCR amplification of most DNA templates, and for complex genomic DNA in particular.

Titanium Taq is more robust than wild-type Taq polymerases and allows the amplification of highly complex DNA mixes due to the absence of 5'-exonuclease activity found in wild-type Taq. This novel enzyme contains carefully engineered amino acid substitutions that increase its solubility, making it incredibly sensitive.
Commercial Use of Titanium Taq SP may provide cost-savings on royalty and license fees in some situations.
