PrepX reagents for simple, automated NGS library prep

PrepX kits for automated NGS library prep on the Apollo system

PrepX kits provide every reagent necessary for Illumina sequencing library prep in prealiquoted, color-coded, single-use reagent strips—making Apollo deck setup effortless. PrepX kits and scripts are designed with flexibility in mind to accommodate a variety of sample throughputs. Setup is simple: follow the prompts on the graphic user interface that tell you exactly where and how to place the reagents, minimizing error and stress. Just set up the deck, hit Run, and walk away.

Overview

Applications

  • Seamless solution for consistent DNA-seq, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq NGS library prep
  • Eliminates the extensive hands-on and labor-intensive workflows required by many protocols

Performance

Sample input amount and quality are important considerations for any sequencing application. Committing too much of your sample to a workflow or getting a low yield means wasted material, delayed experiments, poor results, or insufficient downstream sequencing material. PrepX kits and related scripts resolve these issues by generating comparable, high-quality NGS libraries regardless of input concentrations within a defined range (Table I).

Table I. Reliable sequencing coverage and performance.
Input amount 10 ng 100 ng
Adapter reads (%) 0 0
Confidently mapped reads (%) 96.61 96.43
Repetitive reads (%) 1.84 1.80
Low-quality reads (%) 0 0

For the experiment above, high-quality libraries were prepared using the PrepX DNA Library Kit on the Apollo system from either 10 ng or 100 ng of E. coli genomic DNA. Libraries were sequenced on the Illumina MiSeq® platform (2 x 150 bp).

Input requirements

Each PrepX chemistry is compatible with a script with variable throughputs and minimum input requirements, as summarized in Table II.
