High-throughput detection of SARS-CoV-2

SmartChip MultiSample NanoDispenser

NOTE: The products featured here are for Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostics procedures.

The SmartChip Real-Time RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 Reagents can be combined with primers specific to SARS-CoV-2 to perform qualitative, high-throughput detection of viral RNA in upper respiratory samples using the SmartChip Real-Time PCR System. The resulting assay detects low copies of SARS-CoV-2 RNA, generally present in upper respiratory specimens during infection by the virus.

  • High-sensitivity (limit of detection): 16 copies/µl
  • Positive percent agreement: 96.7%
  • Negative percent agreement (specificity): 100%
  • Cross-reactivity: no significant cross-reactivity with related pathogens, or pathogens and normal flora likely to be found in similar samples

The SmartChip Real-Time RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 Reagents are used to perform high-throughput qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acids in nasopharyngeal swab samples. The assay is performed using primers specific to SARS-CoV-2 on the SmartChip Real-Time PCR System (Cat. # 640022) and detects viral RNA, generally present in upper respiratory regions during infection.

The reagent kit contains enough reagents for one chip run with 378 samples and 6 controls (negative control in triplicate, positive control in duplicate, and an extraction control).

The SmartChip Real-Time PCR System offers high throughput genotyping and gene expression analysis in SmartChips which contain 5,184 individual nanowells. Samples and assays are dispensed into the SmartChip using the MutliSample NanoDispenser (MSND). Once the samples and assays have been dispensed, the SmartChip can be thermal cycled in the SmartChip Real-Time PCR Cycler.
