Pyrophosphatase, HQ
Pyrophosphatase (inorganic), HQ (High-Quality) is a high-quality enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of inorganic pyrophosphate (PPi) to form orthophosphates. Pyrophosphatase (inorganic), HQ enhances RNA or DNA synthesis by degrading the byproduct, PPi generated in the reaction.

Pyrophosphatase (inorganic), HQ is comparable to RUO grade Pyrophosphatase (inorganic) (Cat # 2450A/B), however, it has stricter quality standards than the RUO grade (see the table below) with a high volume (1 ml/tube) for your scale-up process.
Pyrophosphatase (inorganic), HQ is intended for use in the preparation of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for non-clinical trials, as well as for the process development of drug manufacturing under good manufacturing practice (GMP) regulation. Its similarity to GMP grade enzymes makes it a smooth transition from non-GMP to GMP grade RNA manufacturing while maintaining relevant safety and efficacy standards. In addition to its use in drug manufacturing, pyrophosphatase (inorganic), HQ can also be used for basic research in the field of therapeutics.
It is free from human- or animal-derived materials, as well as β-lactam compounds in the final formulation. This makes it suitable for use in applications where there is a risk of immunogenic reactions.

High Quality (HQ) products
- High quality grade and consistency
- Higher volume than RUO reagents for scale-up production
- More similar to GMP grade enzymes than RUO grade enzymes for a smooth transition to GMP grade manufacturing
- A reliable option for process development
Takara Bio's High Quality (HQ) reagents are manufactured to a higher standard than RUO grade products, without meeting all the requirements for GMP grade. The table and grade descriptions below detail the differences between these three categories of product grade.
Table 1. Comparison of Takara's RUO, HQ (high quality), and GMP grades. Quality features present in each grade are indicated by a checkmark. HQ grade has nearly as many quality features as the GMP grade and significantly more quality features than the RUO grade.

RUO grade
RUO grade reagents are manufactured to meet the quality standards of general research reagents.
HQ grade
HQ grade reagents are manufactured to many of the same quality standards as GMP grade reagents, but may not be manufactured in a GMP facility. HQ grade reagents are a good choice for researchers who need high quality reagents but do not need GMP grade reagents, such as non-clinical tests or process development.
GMP grade
GMP grade reagents are manufactured and quality controlled in accordance with the GMP guidelines of PIC/S (Pharmaceutical Inspection Agreement and Pharmaceutical Inspection Joint Scheme). GMP grade reagents are suitable for manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients for clinical trials.
T7 RNA Polymerase, HQ
HQ grade T7 RNA Polymerase helps researchers through the process of transitioning from RUO to GMP.
Inorganic pyrophosphatase
Use our inorganic pyrophosphatase to improve the RNA yield in in vitro transcription reactions.
Takara IVTpro mRNA Synthesis System
A complete solution for synthesizing high-quality single-stranded mRNA containing your gene of interest with a cap structure and poly(A) sequence.
